## Job Description
Job Title: Medusa eCommerce Specialist
Mode: Full Time – Remote
Experience Level: 5+ years in Backend / eCommerce Development, 3+ years hands-on with Medusa.js (preferred)

Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Medusa.js Developer with strong eCommerce domain expertise to design, develop, and maintain scalable commerce platforms. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with microservices-based architectures, custom Medusa workflows, database seeders, deployment pipelines, and ORM-based data modeling.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and customize Medusa.js backend services for enterprise-grade eCommerce platforms
- Build and maintain microservices-based architecture for commerce modules such as catalog, pricing, promotions, orders, payments, and fulfillment
- Develop custom Medusa workflows (order lifecycle, pricing, approvals, fulfillment, returns, etc.)
- Create and manage database seeders for master data, configurations, test data, and environment setup
- Implement and manage ORM-based data models (TypeORM / MikroORM) including migrations, relations, and performance optimization
- Integrate third-party services such as payment gateways, tax engines, shipping providers, and ERP systems
- Ensure high performance, scalability, security, and fault tolerance of the eCommerce platform
- Handle environment setup, deployments, and CI/CD pipelines across dev, QA, and production environments
- Collaborate with frontend teams (React/Next.js) and DevOps teams for end-to-end delivery
- Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code and follow best engineering practices
- Support production issues, debugging, and performance tuning

Required Skills & Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with Medusa.js
- Solid experience in Node.js, TypeScript
- Strong understanding of eCommerce domain concepts: Product catalog, pricing, promotions, Orders, payments, refunds, Inventory, fulfillment, shipping
- Experience with microservices architecture and API-driven design
- Hands-on experience with ORMs: MikroORM (preferred) or TypeORM, Entity modeling, migrations, seeders
- Strong experience writing and managing database seed scripts
- Experience with PostgreSQL (preferred) or other relational databases
- Experience with REST APIs (GraphQL is a plus)

DevOps & Deployment:
- Experience with Docker and containerized deployments
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
- Experience setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding of environment-based configuration and secrets management

Good to Have (Nice to Have):
- Experience with Medusa Admin, custom plugins, and modules
- Experience with Headless commerce and storefront frameworks (Next.js, React)
- Knowledge of event-driven architecture and message queues
- Experience integrating ERP / OMS / PIM systems
- Experience with high-volume or B2B eCommerce platforms
