## Job Description
Location: Remote/In-Office/Hybrid

About the Role:
We're looking for an E-Commerce Strategist to elevate the online shopping experience, sharpen product discovery, and drive conversion through hands-on, data-informed execution.

This is a new role. As the E-Commerce Strategist, you'll own how our products, collections and campaigns come to life on-site. You'll work closely with the Senior Manager, E-commerce, who sets the overall strategy. Your job is to turn that strategy into a storefront that performs, and to spot the gaps that are costing us conversion.

In this hands-on, execution-driven role, you will be deeply involved in Shopify Plus, navigating both front-end presentation and back-end configurations like metafields, templates, product data, and release QA. Balancing technical expertise with strategic vision, you will leverage data to identify friction across the user experience, implementing targeted enhancements and experiments that directly optimize AOV and conversion rates.

In this Role, You Will:
- Plan and execute product launches, collections and seasonal merchandising, from back-end setup to front-end display.
- Own site taxonomy, navigation and category merchandising to drive conversion, sales and AOV.
- Build landing pages for campaigns, bundles and promotions using Shopify Plus templates and sections.
- Format product content and maintain metadata to support on-site search and SEO.
- Partner with creative, email and paid teams to align site content with every campaign.
- Act as the day-to-day business owner of the Shopify Plus storefront and its apps, including product data, metafields and metaobjects.
- Scope requirements, log defects and coordinate fixes and releases with agencies, developers and app partners.
- Run UAT and QA for site changes, theme updates and app launches, and drive root-cause analysis on recurring issues.
- Lead site optimization initiatives such as guest vs. authenticated experiences, combined listings, product reviews, checkout rules, and homepage and category page enhancements.
- Support agency-led projects, such as My Account and Education Portal optimizations, from requirements through launch.
- Recommend apps that improve the shopping experience, site performance and team productivity.
- Audit the customer journey (navigation, search, PDPs, cart and checkout) to identify friction and recommend solutions.
- Maintain a prioritized backlog of fixes and tests based on business impact and site health.
- Plan, launch and analyze A/B tests, turning results into recommendations for the Senior Manager, E-commerce.

Who You Are:
- Have 3–5+ years in e-commerce merchandising, digital product or site operations roles.
- Are confident working hands-on in Shopify Plus, including metafields, product data, collections and apps.
- Understand how the storefront works behind the scenes: product feeds, integrations, templates and how a change in one place affects another.
- Have run UAT, logged and triaged defects, and coordinated releases with developers or technology partners.
- Can build site experiences that balance brand storytelling with conversion.
- Are data-minded and comfortable in Shopify Analytics, GA4 and spreadsheets; you make decisions based on analytics, not guesses.
- Have strong attention to detail and confidently QA your own work.
- Enjoy working cross-functionally and thrive in a fast-paced, growing brand.

Nice to haves:
- Experience in beauty, skincare, wellness, or consumer packaged goods (CPG).
- Strong working knowledge of Figma, comfortable building site mock-ups and polished presentations from scratch for stakeholder presentations.
- Working knowledge of Liquid, HTML and CSS, enough to make small theme edits or brief a developer precisely.
- Experience with A/B testing or CRO tools, and with heatmaps or session recordings.
- Hands-on expertise with key e-commerce tools, including Shopify Flow, subscription services, loyalty programs, cross-selling platforms and Figma.
