ROLE_OVERVIEW
Join Our Team as a Full Stack Shopify Developer. At WIRO, a leading ecommerce agency specialising in Shopify, we are on the hunt for a talented Full Stack Shopify Developer. This role is crucial in developing Shopify apps, handling backend work, and executing migrations. Your expertise in full-stack development, coupled with your proficiency in Shopify, will drive the success of our clients and contribute significantly to our agency's growth.
What You Will Be Doing
Working with stakeholders to understand problems, criterias and proposing well considered solutions.
Developing and maintaining Shopify apps, focusing on both front-end using Shopify Liquid and back-end functionalities (such as Shopify apps using nodejs, react etc…).
Handling migrations and integrations with Shopify, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal performance.
Collaborating with the design and development teams to create efficient and effective technical solutions.
Actively participating in all phases of the development lifecycle, including planning, development, testing, and deployment.
Managing technical aspects of projects, including client communication and technical documentation.
Working on improving existing Shopify sites and apps for enhanced user experience and performance.
Staying current with the latest Shopify features, updates, and best practices to continually improve our offerings.
What Experience You'll Bring
Minimum of 4 years of experience in full stack development, with a strong focus on Shopify platform.
Proficient in front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS/SCSS, ReactJS) and experienced in back-end development, preferably in Node.js.
Experience with Shopify CLI, Shopify APIs, app development, theme customisation, and store migrations (from Magento, Woocommerce, BigCommerce, etc…)
Strong understanding of Git version control and familiarity with continuous integration and deployment processes.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to deliver under tight deadlines.
Strong communication skills, capable of explaining technical solutions in a clear and concise manner.
What You'll Be Assessed On
Full Stack Development Expertise: Proficiency in back-end development, particularly in the Shopify environment. Evaluation Method: Review of past development projects (specifically apps and checkout extensibility). Technical coding tests.
Problem-Solving & Innovation: Ability to tackle complex technical issues and innovate solutions. Evaluation Method: Scenario-based problem-solving exercises. Analysis of past problem-solving instances.
Shopify Platform Knowledge: Deep understanding of Shopify's capabilities, including app development and store migrations. Evaluation Method: Specific examples of Shopify projects. Discussion on Shopify platform features and updates.
Frontend Development Expertise: Proficiency in frontend development, particularly in Liquid. Evaluation Method: Review of past development projects (ideally candidate can share a repository of previous work). Technical coding tests.
Communication & Collaboration: Effective communication with team members and clients, and ability to work collaboratively. Evaluation Method: Role-play scenarios of client and team interactions. Review of past teamwork experiences.
