Frontend Shopify Developer

What you will be doing

You'll be part of a team that plans and executes the development phase of client projects.

Responsibilities include:

• —Build responsive websites and web applications
• —Browser and device test all of your work
• —Collaborate directly with our designers to turn design prototypes into fully functional websites and web apps.
• —Communicate technical solutions to team members in a clear and concise manner.
• —Attend client meetings when required
• —Create technical documentation
• —BAU work

What experience you'll bring

Required:

• —Modern front-end development background (inc. JavaScript, SCSS pre-processors, HTML)
• —Familiarity with JS based build tooling (inc. Webpack, Babel etc.)
• —Experience with Shopify CLI
• —Strong focus on working to a deadline
• —Experience with Git version control
• —A good understanding of SEO requirements

Desirable Experience:

• —Knowledge of functional and object oriented programming paradigms
• —Understanding the differences between server-side and client-side rendering, as well as the benefits and drawbacks of each
• —Testing experience.

Nice to Have:

• —Some experience in building modular and reusable components and/or libraries
• —Experienced in writing backend services in Node.js
• —Experience with continuous integration and deployments
